This shipping policy outlines key information related to delivery timelines, shipping rates and fees, order tracking, returns and exchanges, and other important details to be aware of when placing an order on kuatbikeracks.com.

We continuously update and improve our shipping processes and partners to ensure orders arrive safely, on time, and with exceptional service. Please read through the sections below or contact our customer service team if you have any questions.

Delivery Timelines

In Stock Items

For items showing as in stock on the website, orders placed before 2 PM ET can typically ship out the same day. Orders placed after 2 PM ET will ship the next business day.

Once an order ships, delivery times are estimated as follows based on the shipping method selected during checkout:

Note that business days do not include weekends or federal holidays. Transit days only include business days in transit.

Made-to-Order and Custom Items

For items that are made-to-order or require custom manufacturing, extended production times will be clearly indicated on the product page and during checkout. Typical production times can range from 3-8 weeks depending on the customizations and capabilities of our manufacturing partners before the item ships out.

Rush services may be available at an added fee for certain made-to-order items. Contact our customer service team for rush order inquiries.

Out of Stock Items

If an ordered item shows as out of stock after an order is placed, our team will contact you as soon as possible with an expected restocking timeline or to provide recommendations for substitute items. Out of stock purchase amounts will not be collected until the item ships.

Order Confirmation & Shipping Notification Emails

You will receive an order confirmation email as soon as your order is successfully placed detailing the items purchased, delivery address, and expected delivery timeline if immediately available.

Once your order has actually shipped, you will then receive a shipping confirmation email that includes your tracking number(s) and links to track your shipment’s progress.

Please check your inbox and spam folders for these emails from One Kings Lane following order placement. If you do not receive order confirmation within 24 hours, please contact our customer service team.

Shipping Rates, Options, & Delivery Exceptions

Shipping Rates

Shipping rates vary based on your order total and shipping destination. During checkout you will be able to view the estimated shipping rates for different delivery options.

Standard Shipping

Complimentary economy shipping is offered for orders over $149 going to the 48 contiguous United States only. For orders under $149 going to the contiguous U.S., standard shipping rates start at $10.

For non-contiguous U.S. destinations including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other territories, discounted standard shipping rates start at $20. Contact our customer service team for specific quotes.

Expedited Shipping

Expedited delivery shipping options are available starting from $20 for qualifying orders shipped to the contiguous U.S. only. Transit times for expedited shipping average 3-5 business days once the order ships out.

Contact our customer service team for expedited delivery quotes for non-contiguous regions. Additional restrictions and longer transit days apply when going outside the 48 contiguous states.

Oversize & Bulky Items

For large, heavy, or unusually shaped items an additional freight fee ranging from $25-$100 per item will apply. This freight surcharge is in addition to any applicable standard or expedited delivery fees to cover the increased costs of shipping and handling these oversized products.

Any required oversize fees will be clearly listed on the product page and during checkout to eliminate surprise charges.

Tracking Your Shipment

Tracking numbers for your order will be included in the shipping confirmation email sent once your items ship out. You may track the status of your shipment at any time by:

Tracking information typically updates in real time as your package travels through the courier network to reflect the latest activity and expected delivery date.

In some cases package scans may not occur until the order reaches your local post office or delivery driver, in which case tracking will only update close to delivery. Please allow up to 48 hours from the time you receive a shipping notification before reporting any missing tracking updates.

Signature Confirmation Delivery

Signature confirmation delivery is available upon request to ensure someone is present to receive the order. There is a $5 additional fee per shipment for this service.

Please contact our customer service team after order placement to add signature confirmation if needed for your specific delivery address or situation. Please note this service may not be available to all zip codes.

With signature confirmation, the carrier will only release the shipment at the destination address indicated on the package to someone 13 years of age or older who shows valid photo ID to verify their identity. If no authorized recipient is available after the first delivery attempt, the carrier will leave a notice and make two more attempts before returning the order to their local facility for in-person pickup.

Refused/Returned Shipments

If no one is available to accept delivery after multiple attempts by the carrier, or if the recipient refuses the shipment, the order will be returned to our distribution center per the carrier’s policies.

Applicable reshipping fees will apply if you request the order be sent back out for another delivery attempt:

To avoid incurring return and reshipping fees due to a missed delivery, consider adding signature confirmation or an alternate delivery address where someone will be available to receive the order.

Package Inspection & Delivery Acceptance

Please thoroughly inspect all shipped items for damage as soon as packages arrive and note any concerns on the carrier’s delivery receipt before accepting the order. Opening packaging and testing assembled goods is recommended to confirm all items have arrived intact and fully functional.

After signing to accept an order from the carrier, One Kings Lane cannot be held responsible for later reports of unnoted damage, defects, missing pieces or parts, etc. Claims cannot be filed for cosmetic or mechanical issues if packages were signed as delivered in good condition. Please refuse any visibly damaged packages at the time of delivery.

Minor assembly is required on select furniture items – please review assembly instructions closely and confirm all hardware and components were received undamaged prior to accepting. Extended upholstery items often ship with minor wrinkling or creasing from packaging that will relax during use – this is normal and not considered damage.

Please retain all original packaging materials until satisfied with your order in case of the need for returns or exchanges. Contact our customer service team as soon as possible to report any missing, damaged or defective items needing replacement.

Alaska & Hawaii Shipments

Extended Delivery Timelines

Due to remote destination shipping, orders being delivered to Alaska and Hawaii should allow 10-15 business days in transit after packages leave our distribution center. Only standard ground shipping methods are available for Hawaiian and Alaskan destinations at this time.

Quarantine Period

Plant-based décor items being shipped to Hawaii require agricultural inspection and clearance which can add 5-7 days to packages held in quarantine upon arrival to the islands. Complimentary quarantine processing is provided, but customers are responsible for any assessed replacement value if contraband is discovered and items must be destroyed rather than released.

Military APO/FPO Delivery

One Kings Lane proudly ships to U.S. military addresses around the globe served by the Military Postal Service (MPS); however, some limitations and delivery exceptions apply worth noting:

Available Shipping Options

Only USPS Priority Mail through the MPS network is available for APO/FPO addresses. Expedited delivery solutions from other carriers are not supported overseas as the MPS system utilizes space available on military flights which cannot guarantee specific transit timelines.

Customs & Import Fees

Shipments to APO/FPO destinations are customs/duty exempt as they technically count as domestic U.S. deliveries and contents do not get inspected the same as foreign international mail. Any assessed customs fees from the destination country on delivery must be paid by the recipient however per local policies when picking up packages.

Order Cancellations

For security reasons, the Military Postal Service restricts shipment of certain items like liquids, flammable materials, or lithium batteries overseas. If an existing order contains restricted items that cannot safely ship internationally, One Kings Lane will attempt to contact the customer to remove or replace those products from the purchase.

If contact cannot be established and order modifications are not confirmed within 72 hours, we regretfully reserve the right to cancel the full order and issue a refund. Please ensure your account settings have valid contact details on file that can be reached while overseas.

Delays & Lost Packages

While we strive to ensure prompt delivery for every order, disruptions and delays are possible when shipping via space available military transport. One Kings Lane cannot guarantee delivery timelines or be responsible for packages lost or damaged after transfer to the Military Postal Service.

As with any shipment, please encourage the carrier to note any visible damage at time of delivery before accepting packages to facilitate claims. Retain packaging materials and contact One Kings Lane customer service promptly regarding missing or damaged items requiring replacement.

Returns & Exchanges

One Kings Lane aims to make returns and exchanges simple if you are not completely satisfied with a delivered purchase. Please review the policies below when needing to send an item back after delivery:

Returns Allowed Within 30 Days

Eligible non-custom merchandise can be returned in original condition for a full refund of the purchase price within 30 days from the date of delivery. Made-to-order items cannot be returned unless arriving defective or damaged.

Original Packaging & Condition

Items must be repackaged in original boxes and materials to protect from damage during return transit. Make note of any issues with assembly hardware, missing components, tears, stains, cracks, or other damage occurring during the return process. One Kings Lane cannot issue refunds for items returned with noted condition issues or missing parts not aligned with original delivery.

Return Shipping Cost

Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We recommend sending items back via FedEx or UPS with tracking capabilities, properly insured for full replacement value, as risk for lost or damaged return packages falls to the customer otherwise.

One Kings Lane will reimburse return shipping fees for orders shipped in error, items damaged upon delivery, warranty claims, and manufacturing defects reported upon arrival.

Signature Confirmation

Due to high per item values of One Kings Lane merchandise, signature confirmation return service is highly recommended to verify packages make it back to our distribution center as expected. One Kings Lane cannot issue refunds or replacements for packages lost or damaged when being returned without delivery signature verification.

Refund Methods

Once returned items are received and inspected at our warehouse, refunds can be issued back to the original payment method used on the order. Please allow 2-3 billing cycles for the funds to fully process depending on your bank’s policies.

Alternatively, credit on your One Kings Lane account may be issued immediately upon return request in place of waiting for refund processing timelines from financial institutions. Store credit never expires and may also be transferred to friends and family if you prefer.

Exchanges

To exchange an item for a different style, color, or size, please first process the request through our returns portal to generate a return shipping label. Once received back at our warehouse, our team can ship the replacement item you select from our site at no additional shipping cost to you. Exchanges carry no restocking fees.

Please note any pricing differential between the returned item and newly selected exchange item will be charged or refunded accordingly at time of re-order. Custom-made items following initial quality inspection can take 1-3 weeks to recut, recover or reproduce during an exchange depending on required customizations during re-order.

Damaged & Defective Items

Please photograph and contact One Kings Lane customer service right away if items arrive with damage or have manufacturing defects noticed immediately upon delivery/assembly. We will evaluate and validate warranty coverage claims based on evidence presented prior to facilitating repair, replacement, refund or reshipment resolutions.

For quality assurance and training purposes, customers may be asked to send images or video capturing damage details for investigation by our vendor managers. Photos grant us permission to work more effectively with our shipping partners and manufacturers to improve quality checks. Please retain all original packaging materials as well until resolution is reached.
